Venom Bass Records was established in 1992 as the home of DJ Reptile’s music, sound and creative identity.

Born from a lifelong obsession with electronic music and the energy of the nightclub scene, Venom Bass has evolved alongside DJ Reptile’s own journey behind the decks. From the early influences of House, Bass House and Techno through to today’s heavyweight Drum & Bass and Jungle, one thing has always remained at the heart of the label — the bassline.

Venom Bass Records is an independent label owned and operated by DJ Reptile, created alongside his career behind the decks and his passion for bass-driven electronic music.

Established in 1992, the label represents the sound and direction DJ Reptile has developed throughout more than 35 years as a DJ — from his earlier House, Bass House and Techno roots through to the Drum & Bass, Jungle and heavier bass music that defines his sound today.

Venom Bass Records is the home of DJ Reptile’s original releases, providing an independent identity for his albums and music while allowing the label to evolve alongside his career.

It’s about powerful drums, deep subs, dirty Reese basslines, warbling synths, rave energy and tracks designed to be played loud.

Today, Venom Bass is the home for DJ Reptile’s original releases, albums and experimental projects, allowing the sound to move between Drum & Bass, Jungle and rave-inspired electronic music without being tied to one formula.
